As a child, I loved to write stories. I would pen and post to my long-suffering aunts and grandmother for their literary pleasure! In Grade 5 I started a newspaper with my best friend. We didn’t become media moguls but we both ended up in wordy careers. My friend became a lawyer and I went into marketing and public relations.

I guess the desire to communicate ideas and solve problems through the written word drew us to our chosen professions. As I gained experience, I learned the true power of storytelling as a marketing tool.

Telling a story makes people trust you more. A good story allows the reader to empathise with the characters. This is why it works so well if you are trying to sell an idea, a product, or a service. I am a huge fan. People remember stories. I encourage my clients to tell their tale first and then introduce the data.

To make an impact and to connect with your target market, content must be consistent and impactful. I can work with you to find fresh ideas that show how you are solving problems for your customers.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations I have honed skills that enable me to write with a marketer’s head and a journalist’s ‘pen.’ My portfolio is diverse, and I have worked in many sectors including Food and Agribusiness (FaBA, Forage Farms, Lyka Pet Food, Food & Agriculture Network, Agri Creative, Bring a Plate); Tourism (Visit Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Airport, Study Sunshine Coast, GirlsTrek), the arts (Rupert McCall OAM, Sculpture on the Edge, Sunshine Coast Open Studios, Anne Everingham Jewellery, Sixtoeight arts blog, Galah Magazine) and the professional services (UP Private Wealth, Dobbrick Financial Services, Learnfully).

If you are finding it difficult to keep up with your content I can help.
